9/11

On the 9/11 presentations I managed to learn lots of facts and events of this sad topic. One of the main subjects was what happened on flight 93 and all of the various points of views. We learned how people reacted to it, how it shocked and it still does, shock people’s lives. We learned how important it was for the entire world, how it changed todays living.

I personally thing this is a very serious topic, a terrorist attack which managed to  hurt the entire world, it hurt and shocked, countries, cities, families, religions, society, human minds, and many others. It was a huge deal and it still is 10 years after. Why? Because it literally changed how we leave now a days. How we think of different people and religions. How we act, our fears. The government changed, security around the world dramatically increased. But apart from the fact that it is a serious thing, it is also an extremely sad thing as well. Because it left behind incomplete families and broken hearts. Kinds without a mother or a father, parents without daughters or sons, grandparents, uncles, aunts, childhood friends, wifes, husbands etc. For the memorial of those who sadly died in the event, Ground Zero was created on behave of those loved ones who were left behind so that they will always be remembered by all of us.T
hese topics showed me how dangerous are these terrorists groups. But it also showed me how media twists our minds and our opinions on others. In this case are the Muslims which are horribly blamed for this attack. So I really learned on how to catch the story by my point of view and not agree the bias idea. A great quote that highlights my example is: from a Muslim ‘Your 9/11 is our  24/7’.

I actually learned what really happened on 9/11. I knew some things but not much. Now I know how people reacted, decisions taken and basically everything I need to know. I also learned other problems that were created outside from the terrorist attack. Like the racism and wars and all of that created by this event.

EDUCATION

What we discussed in our global perspectives class about education. And we talked of lots of things involving it, like the will of children into education, thoughts and attitude of education, and different education opportunities all around the world. So we discussed our personal feelings about education, and we all had similar but different points of view on how we think education meant for us. What I said was, although it isn’t the most fun activity to do it is something we have to value because it is crucial for our lives, maybe not now but it will be in the future, to be able to get a job and pay the bills. Also a phrase that I said involving the debate we were having and I really like was ‘I want Burger King working for me and not me working for Burger King’. And I like because it’s a very happy phrase reflecting how successful I want to be. We talked how children and teenagers in LEDC’s have low possibilities on education and how they really want to get it but can’t because of their lack of resources. Education sometimes is taken for granted; especially those fortunate children that get to have free schools or those that their parents have the resources to send you to a private school. Children with less economic resources that are not very fortunate struggle to get their education. This type of children really appreciates what education brings to you and how really important it is, because they want to have better opportunities in their lives. Wealthy people don’t bother thinking like this because they don’t have to make an extra effort to be able to have a great life, because they already have it, so they do not care. So it is really important to realize how important and crucial this is for young children on their development in order to have a successful future.
There are 30 articles in the human rights, and it includes education for children. Education is a right that it is not always respected, or known. Some countries like the UK really enforces this, or countries like the United States that has free education on primary and secondary schools.
Lots of people specially teenagers think in different ways, and feel differently about education, and it means different things for others.  Some think like me, although it isn’t the most fun activity to do it is something we have to value because it is crucial for our lives, maybe not now but it will be in the future, to be able to get a job and pay the bills. But some think differently, some just don’t bother and don’t like to do anything that has to do with education, and working, and don’t mind not working for the future. Others absolutely love it and enjoy every single bit of it. So every person has a different perspective on this topic. We talked how children and teenagers in LEDC’s have low possibilities on education and how they really want to get it but can’t because of their lack of resources and the way the y think of education.
My opinion as I have been saying previously I a very huge deal for me. Education is a crucial thing for anyone to be not necessarily rich but to me able to pay the bills, have a house and an average life. Specifically this is my point of view: although it isn’t the most fun activity to do it is something we have to value because it is crucial for our lives, maybe not now but it will be in the future, to be able to get a job and pay the bills. Although it is debatable that you need education to be a successful person financially because that is not always the case. But I also think that education cannot turn completely into your life, that can’t be all you think, do, talk and speak about. That is not healthy neither. You have to find a balance between personal life and education, because you need both to have a healthy, happy and successful life. Live your life but try and find a balance to be able to maintain that successful future very accessible. And not always think about this, about everything you do will affect your future and destroy your success.
This discussion makes me feel very honored or happy to be lucky enough to be able to afford my education and take advantage of it, not just waste it. It also makes me very sad to know how other children or teenagers are begging for some education and it I just impossible for them to obtain it. This topic wakes up in me lot of feelings. For example intrigue and makes me anxious in the way that  want to know this people lives and how they cope with it but also because I want to know and learn how can I can contribute to help this people and also learn from them some values that you can’t get on a normal school class.
I was very surprised on others reaction because lot of people had different reactions that I had or totally different points of views. But some think differently, some just don’t bother and don’t like to do anything that has to do with education, and working, and don’t mind not working for the future. Others absolutely love it and enjoy every single bit of it. So every person has a different perspective on this topic.
I learned lots of stuff that I didn’t knew before, for example what I felt education meant for me. Personally I had never asked me that question, also some facts on the topic, like for example the amount of literacy rates around the world, the struggles to acquire this. For example I did not know that education was a human right. There are 30 articles in the human rights, and it includes education for children. Education is a right that it is not always respected, or known. Some countries like the UK really enforces this or countries like the United States that has free education on primary and secondary schools. Something that really shocked me was the penalties given in some countries like in the UK if education was not getting provided.
       Penalty notices
As an alternative to prosecution, authorized local authority staff, police officers and head teachers can issue penalty notices to parents of children who are not attending school regularly. The penalty is £50, rising to £100 if not paid within 28 days. If you fail to pay a penalty fine, you will be prosecuted.
       Taking you to court
The local authority may prosecute you (they don’t have to issue a penalty notice first) and this could result in a more severe penalty.
You could get a fine of up to £2,500, a community order or, in extreme cases, a jail sentence of up to three months. If the court thinks it will help to stop your child missing school, it may also impose a Parenting Order.
       Parenting Order
A Parenting Order is a court order which requires you to attend parenting education or support classes. You will also have to do whatever the court says is necessary to improve your child’s behaviour and attendance at school.

I really liked this topic because I have a very strong point of view on it. I have been enjoying so far the topic discussed on our global perspectives class so far. I have really enjoyed the activities and classes.

Internet Protection

In this Global Perpectives class we discussed about a really big issue now a days, and that is internet protections, which cover a lot of stuff that probably many of teenagers ike me don't give too much attention.
This is something very critical on the daily bases, because it can give you some reall problems if you ignore. What internet protection means is the way you use internet, this incuding most any of the blog pages, in which you can get bullied, or talked by other people, so it's really important to keep this very safe for you, and there a variety of ways to do so

- There are some people than can make rude and nasty comments which can offend, so the solution for this is just block it or delete that person so you don't have to read those ugly comments, and so you do not need to deal with it.

- There wird people wich can pretend to be someone else, wich can actualy be something really dangerouse to add this type of people, strangely they can start stalking you and maybe it can become into some really nasty trouble in the end, so watch out who you add.

- A really simple way to keep it all very safe is just, be carefull what are you blogging, commenting or talking about o people who you wouldn't like reading don't do.

- Do not for any reason post personal information of anytime and watch out for the background of the pictures you might post.

So this are some basic stuff wich can actualy seem very basic, and something that everybody knows, but actually not everyone pays attention to these cautions on the web, and can actualy make ome horrible mistakes, but remember is easy to avoid.

I personally think as I preveously said that this a very important thing 'internet protection' because it is not also easily avoidable but is a very common problem but a very seriouse topic. There are a lot of ways of keeping it save jut save your personal information, and keep those secrets to yourself. So that is my personal opinion on this. Personaly this are the rules which I follow.

This discussion really concerns me in how important this is. It gets me thinking on how many trouble some people have gone throw just because they don't use save internet, and is really eay to avoid. Also something that stood out to me was the phrase '' remember that everything you put on the internet stays forever '' so this really get me thinking on how not only I have to be careful about other but aslo about myself and what un intentionaly I may write, or blog about.

I wasn't really shocked for others reactions on this topic because, basicaly almost everyones reaction was the same as mine preety average and normal, plus it is hard to notice what everyone exactly things about it. So i wasn't surprised about anyones reaction because none of them was over the top or diferent from what I expected. Most of the were preety similar to mine and this makes me think this are normal reactions fro m my classmates.

I actually did learned some interesting things that I didn't know or considered before, and it's only owr first class! The main wich I still think of is , '' remember that everything you put on the internet stays forever'' wich is a phrase that has a lot of power and mining to it and also it is very true. NOt necesarily means that it literaly stays there forever because you can actualy delete it, but maybe some one else might have read it, taken a picture, gossip about it, etc. so that is the way it stays forever because people don't forget, so be careful of what you post.
Also i learned some things about this topic we are looking at, i didn't knew the importance of internet safety, and also i learned some other ways of keeping it safe, and happy.

I did actually enjoyed a lot the lesson although it was only the firt class I got to research about some cool new stuff, and actually liked the way classes are going to be. Mainy I liked it because it is a topic that I really like and looking forward on actually be able to work with it and learn from it. Looking forward on the rest of the classes, and the interesting topics that might come up.
